Hey sent me crappy non-working equipment and tech support sucks. I returned the stuff and those crooks refuse to credit my credit card

I purchased a XC Cube computer from the BPM Digital DJ Gear company in Gaithersburg, Maryland on June 20th. They charged me approxiamately $2,300.00 for a computer that was suppose to be capable of playing over 55,000 MP3 songs, 3000 videos, and several Karaoke songs.

They supposedly sent this computer to be configured by some unknown computer company which took three working days. They supposedly tested the product before shipping. I was so excited to get the equipment to use for my gigs I requested to pay $120.00 shipping to get the product in two days.

I received the product on 7/1/05 and followed the simple instructions of connecting the monitor to the computer to no avail. The darn thing didn't work. The monitor kept stating, "no signal."

I waited over the Fourth of July weekend and called their companies technical support unit on July 5th, my birthday. The salesman Ralph was left a message and never returned my call. I had to call several times in order to get in contact with him.

I asked him several questions regarding the connections. I even went home and stayed an extra hour for lunch for him to help me. When I called I couldn't get a hold of him at first. I had to wait until he contacted me which was 15 minutes before my lunch ended. He told me that the connection I had was probably wrong and that the computer company probably configured the product backward and I needed to connect to another VGA port.

I tried both ports while I had the sales/tech guy on the phone again to no avail. He went on to say that I needed to really ensure that the unit connections are tight, so I should use a screwdriver to tighten the connection. I informed him that I will try that after work. I tried several times and the computer would come on but the darn thing didn't work.

So, I packed all of the received non-working components and I shipped them back that same night insured via the USPS. I insured all of the products, which were the Aopen EX65-II Black/Silver XC Cube, the Maya 44 USB External Soundcard, Aopen Black 70 JS 17" Super Slim LCD, Swift Elite DJ/Kj Hoster 2.0, the Numark CM100 Dj Mixer with 5 Band EQ. To insure and to ship back the products in a two day period was a whopping $178.00.

Today, July 6, I conferred with Ralph who stated that I shouldn't have just sent the products back without calling first. I needed to get a return number. He sent me an e-mail that they don't credit your account without this number. He went on to say that there is a 30% restocking fee.

I purchased the product in good faith and it came to me in non-working condition. I return the product and they refuse to credit my account. All I want is my money returned to my credit card. I did nothing wrong but am being penalized.

Ralph stated that his company insures the shipments thru the UPS service and the proper procedure was for his company to put in a claim and the UPS agents would come out to my house and inspect the shipment and if they perceived that there was a shipment problem they would reimburse the company and I would've have received new replaced products.

Ralph ended the call and stated that he would talk to his manager about the problem and call me back. He had ample time to call me back but never did. I don't trust him or BPM Dj Digital Gear. They appear to be a big "rip-off" using unscrupulous business practices. Please help me to get my refund plus shipping. For $2,300.00 the product should have been working beautifully. Also, I felt very insulted by Ralph who tried to act like I was the incompetent one. Thank you for reading.
