On 5/5 I purchased a combination of home audio speakers / amp / associated wiring. The purchase price was $3038. Prior to paying for the item the retailer Ovation Audio Interiors provided me with an in home demonstration of the speakers. The speakers were missing the grills at this time and the owner of the business Roger Ingleby said that he would deliver them at a later date (Grill cover cost est. $100). Also during the in home demonstration a rattling noise was heard. At first it was thought to be coming from somewhere other than the speaker.
Later it was discover that it came from the speaker. The owner Roger acknowledged that the speaker was defective and he stated that he would repair the speaker (replacement woofer cost est $400). I have made numerous phone calls to Roger Ingleby in reference to a solution to my situation. To date Roger Ingleby has made no attempt to supply me with the speaker grills and has not attempted to repair the speaker. During one of our last conversations he said that he would take the speakers back and compensate me for them. At a later time he set up an appointment to repair the speaker and furnish me with the grills. He never showed up and will not respond to numerous phone inquiries.
As the speaker grills can not be purchased (no longer in stock) and Roger Ingleby has not made an attempt to rectify this situation I would like to report him to your attention.
