Wireless Cricket screwed me over, and would not replace my phone. Useless wireless company

I give cricket the worst ratings possible because they are the worst service possible. I hope that many people read this and do not get screwed over the way I did my choosing to join this useless wireless company.

I began my cell phone hunt in middle and being a student, had to restrict myself to the cheapest possible. After hunting for several months, my uncle and i decided on cricket for its low rates, and, because i was a first-time cell phone user, the unlimted plan. I chose the regular cricket plan with unlimted minutes. That's pretty much all they give you.

We paid 149.99 for a motorola c341. It's a fairly decent open-face cell, and it suited my needs. After rebates, the price came down to 49.99, crickets second cheapest phone cost, only more expenisve then the dismal rave, which was soon discontinued to my knowledge.

I was happy with my service, because i had wanted a phone for a long time, so i was very content. Altough people on the other side claimed that the volume of my voise went up and down, i dismissed it as a minor issue and overlooked it. (by the way, i first recieved this complaint on my first day of usage, after having made around only ten minutes of calling)

This was in the end of oct. Of and other thant the fact that i had no text messaging, i thought cricket was great. I only had an occasional dropped call, nothing major. This went on for 3 months.

Then feb. Hit. I was still reciving calls. The phone would ring. I would pick it up and say hello. I couln't here anything, yet the could here me, as the didn't hang up, and i also discoverd later. I merely dismissed it was a bad location, and continued on with my service.

Then i started making calls, and i couldn't here anything. Nothing. Nata. No dial tone. No voice. Yet they could here me.

This is where it gets interesting. I call up cricket, twice. Same result. They basically told me to screw off. They told me (and by the way, this is their tecnical support)! All they can do for me is tell me to reset my phone. I told them that's not going to work. They told me to go in the store. I told them i am not going to sit in a line for two hours. I said you should give me a free phone, like verizon does it the phone is faulty. They told me that sense i did not purchase insurance, i couldn't get a new phone. THAT'S BULL!!! THE PHONE IS FOUR MONTHS OLD!!!

Next, they told me I can consult with motorola, the maker of the phone. I'M NOT CALLING MOTOROLA!!! You don't see verizon making it's customers call the manufacters!!! THEY STAND BY THE PROCUCT!!!

Then they told me that if i knew anyone with cricket, i could simply take there old phone, and, for a small fee of 15 DOLLARS!!! They would switch me over to that phone. I promptly told them that no, i did not want a five year old piece of crap, and that i don't know anyone with cricket.

I told them that i would be cancelling my service, and i would. I have called several times, yet they are still not cancelling.

I signed a two year contract with verizon today, well acutally yesterday, as it is around 12:30 in the morning right now. A TWO YEAR CONTRACT CRICKET!!! And to think, all that money could be going into your pockets!!! But, you treated me like crap, and look what happens!!! 1

Hell, I'm just turned fourteen a couple of hours ago, i can't afford paying a couple hundred for a new phone every four months.

I am so satisfied with verizon. I love it. They game me a free flip phone and more than enough minutes with a calling network that is LEAPS (that's sorta ironic, huh ;-) AND BOUNDS above cricket. I am so happy with verizon.

I suppose that's how cricket makes there money, by picking on poor people with bad credit who can't get verizon or cingular or whatever. CRICKET THEN PROCEEDS TO SCREW THEM OVER!!!

I am spreading this report all over the internet, in a hope that i may convnice at least one customer not to switch to the lowest company i have worked with in my life.

What about standing behind your phones cricket!!!
You are a miserable company that is doomed to bankruptcy!!!

I beg everyone who reads this to not get screwed over as i did with cricket, and please, pay the premium for the better service. It is well worth it!!!

Moral of the freaking story: treat your customers right!!!
