While on vacation in Vegas at the end of June, my husband and I ordered a 7' custom cherry bar. Mr. Kales required payment in full and quoted an 8 week lead time.
After 8 weeks I called to see where the bar was. He told me that he "forgot to tell us that the company closed down for 2 weeks for the 4th of July, so the lead time was going to be 10 weeks". He said that he would call to check the order and call me back. He never called.
I called him back and left a message. Again, no call back. A week later I called and Mr. Kales answered the phone. I asked why he had not called me back and he said he just forgot. I asked where my bar was and he said he did not know! He said he would call the company and call me back.
Three days later the company that makes the bar called me to inform me that Mr. Kales had just faxed my order on 9/11—two and a half months after we had paid for it! They said their lead time is only TWO weeks and they DO NOT close for 4th of July!
Mr. Kales still has not returned my calls and three months later we still have NO bar!!! This guy is a con-artist! Do not buy anything from him! We feel he took our money, quoted a long lead time so he could pay off other bills. We feel he is now out of money, so he could not place our order that we PAID FOR IN FULL!!!
