They sent me a letter stating I was a semi finalist. And invited to the convention and would be receiving a formal invitation by mail.
The very next day I received a letter saying we're sorry you won't be able to attend. Please send $169 plus postage and handling and we'll send your awards. So I never had the chance to even decide if I wanted to go or not.
