Consumers beware! Dafer University is calling people and offering an at home tutor for year at $400. They contacted my brother in law who just speaks Spanish offering a spectacular package to help him learn english. The package sounded like a great deal and a chance to learn at home with a licensed instructor. Once my brother in-law took the bait the guy asked for all his personal information. Not only did he want personal info, the guy asked for the name and number of 2 friends. Thinking everything was on the up and up he abliged and gave out the name and number of 2 friends. My brother in law told me about this "great deal". Of course I thought it sounded fishy so I did research and found it was a scam. I tell my in-law to not give the money or do business. The dafer guy called him back to collect and my in-law told him no he changed his mind. Dafer guy wouldn't take no for an answer and proceeded to threaten him. He told in-law that the book was ordered and tutor scheduled so in-law couldn't back out. Dafer guy said if he didn't collect the money he would call cops and the 2 friends would also get in trouble. Come to find out this company is targeting people who don't know English and trying to scare them into the deal by telling them cops would investigate everyone they knew. I have attempted to call the guy back to tell him I know he is scamming and I would be reporting him, but he doesn't answer. I was able to save my inlaw money but it angers me to think that they actually really do scare people to buying into the scam. The uniformed have no choice but to pay up to get dafer to leave the friends and family alone. Do not buy anything from dafer! Report any incidents you encounter with this company!!
