Over a year ago I signed up for 6 months of coaching through the Miracles Coaching Program (a product of NorthStar Ventures). After only a few sessions with my "coach, " who I was told was extremely well qualified, I learned that she was no longer with the company. I wasn't surprised as she had been inattentive and unprofessional at best. I was assigned another coach, who was excellent, and we worked together for over a year. Towards the end of this time, I received notice from someone in the Financial Department that an "oversight" had been made in my billing, and I was given a "revised billing schedule" for the remaining sessions.
However, one morning when I called for a regular session with my coach, she expressed surprise that I was calling, and she informed me that she was no longer with the company because she (and all of the other coaches) had not been paid in some time. I was later notified by NorthStar Ventures that I would be assigned yet ANOTHER coach, who would finish the remaining coaching sessions I had paid for. My payments and my coaching sessions ended in September, and I decided not to sign up for any further sessions.
Imagine my surprise when, in early November of this year, I found a $500 charge posted to my credit card from NorthStar Ventures. I immediately attempted to contact the company, but none of the company's contact information was valid any more, with the exception of email. I sent an email requesting an immediate reversal of the $500 charge, and I was informed by someone in the Financial Department that the charge had been reversed.
To date, the charge is still sitting on my credit card, collecting interest. The one contact person I had been able to reach is also no longer working for NorthStar Ventures, and I am left wondering how many other former clients have found a "surprise" waiting for them on their credit card statement.
