I bought some items from Fingerhut about 2 years ago. I have been making monthly payments since then. However, my balance is now much higher than my original one! They charge a monthly finance charge of anywhere from $5-10.00. They also tack on monthly late charges of $20.00 even though your payment isn't even due yet. They show a monthly finance rate of 2.491% and an annual percentage rate of 29.90%. Isn't that illegal?
My total bill 2 years ago was $250. It is now $294.42. I was even paying more than my minimum due to try and get rid of this bill.
As of today, I will not pay them another cent. Ever.
