I am a current student of Axia College of University of Phoenix and I am WARNING ALL FUTURE STUDENTS STAY AWAY!!! I started classes in June '09 & was told to do my financial aid as a dependent. Mind u my mother does not provide financial means to me in any shape form or fashion and lives in another state anyway. When I did my financial aid i even filed under special circumstances. Well Nicole (who i can no longer contact) told me i HAD to file dependent and apply for parent plus. It is now September and I am constantly receiving emails from the Financial Processing Center of UoPx about more info is needed on my mother. Mind you my parent plus was approved and pending distribution but to let UoP tell it my financial aid is still being processed but they are applying funds to my account. After reading through the rip off reports i know see that I am a victim of this schools b*s practices.
How can I stop all financial aid being sent to this school before I drop out and go else where?
Anyone considering this school should definitely NOT go, anybody who says their experience with this school was pleasant is lying.
