Career Connection purports to be a Mentorship Program that couples a student with a professional Mentor from a local radio or television station, or a local film or recording studio. As of this date, the Mentorship costs seven thousand dollars and Career Connection promises placement assistance for six years following graduation.
Career Connection claims to be accredited through the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance, but they are not.
Career Connection claims to be a Master Member of the International Council of Online Professionals, but they are not.
The owner, Jimi Petulla sends potential students a fraudulent report from the New York Better Business Bureau (found here: http://www.careerconnection2000.com/about/bbb/index.html), because he doesn't want anyone to see the real BBB report from Los Angeles (found here: http://www.la. BBB.org/BusinessReport. Aspx? CompanyID=13134620).
The Los Angeles BBB warns that Career Connection has "failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law's licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, [and] the company's industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."
