Very clean, nicely dressed, young "college student" came to the door. Said this was to raise money to finish college. Also said this was an internship program. Kept telling us about this family and that family liking this or that about the curriculum. Then said he only needed half the money today and that gives families time to save up the rest. Also had additional software available, for ONLY one hundred dollars more. I asked if we could work something out when he delivered the books in August. Oh, sure! Was his reply. He had me fill out a postcard to mail me letting me know exactly when he would deliver the materials, and even joked a couple of times about having cookies ready for him. I suggested brownies instead. He laughed and said that would be even better. It was also mentioned that I am a widow raising 2 kids on my own. These people OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO CONSCIENCE, which goes without saying! All part of their agenda, I'm sure. Too bad it makes us suspicious of everyone.
