After reading all these entries about Fairbanks I was surprised! I thought I was the only one that had problems with them!
My loan, like many others on this site, was bought by Fairbanks back in October. I too was not notified until 1 day before my payment was due. I had already sent my payment to what I thought was my lender. Fairbanks lost it, then called me every three days telling me I was late and that if I did not pay, they would start foreclosure. I insisted I was not late and sent them all the documentation proving it!
They continued to badger me to the point of harassment. I even told them if they continued to harrass me, I would sue them for harrassment! They didn't care and continued to call me.
Finally, I sent them the documentation via U.S. Express Mail requiring a signature. I sent it to both the Arizona address and the Austin Texas address. I gave them a copy of my original note and a copy of all my payments to date showing I was not in arrears. It took them a total of 3 months to finally fix their mistake. I never received an apology and I had to pay for interest accrued that should not have.
Also, they paid my property taxes late and my homeowners insurance company cancelled my insurance for non-payment. The proof of this is that my policy expiration date is no longer 12/31 it is now in mid January because of their failure to pay.in addition, I was not covered for those 15 days! Luckily nothing happened to my home!
If anybody needs me to sign an affidavit, please do not hesitate to contact and I will be more than happy to do so!
