My husband and I attended an RV resort sales pitch. We declined to join the resort and received a gift and the promise of $50-worth of free gas.
We applied in writing to AM Eagle as required and only received the gas redemption certificates after a telephone call and several weeks delay.
In order to redeem the certificates we are required to send in a completed coupon, a copy of the gas receipt and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
We sent in our first coupon in December. As only one coupon may be redeemed within a 30-day period, we have been waiting for this reimbursement before submitting any more coupons. Despite several phone calls to their customer service department no reimbursement has been received.
This appears to be a 3-way scam and outright theft. (1) They have reneged on whatever contract that the RV resort had with them, (2) they are fraudulently failing to reimburse individuals in accordance with their own Terms and Conditions, and (3) they are keeping unfranked stamps.
