I accepted a payment of $2195 from a person using paypals service. This happened in November.in January the person called his credit card co. And canceled the payment. Paypal then gave the person a refund of $2195, and took $2195 from my account.
The person now has my item I sold him and his money back. I called paypal, about 50 times and got no where. I talked to many 18 yr old kids you were reading rules from a book.
Paypal told me if the person was verified, had a confirmed address, lived in the US, and I send the item to his confirmed US address, and I had proof (signature) of where he received it. They would refund my $2195. I did everything they asked and had signature proof of the person receiving the goods.
Paypal now refuses to refund my money. They said there policy states "you must have signture proof that can be tracted on line". Which I do. I work for the USPS and have access to the USPS computers. I was able to track this shipment online. I faxed paypal a copy of the receipt showing were the person signed for it, the address it was delivered to, and the date and time it was delivered. All of this was tracked online.
Paypal says since they cannot track it online it isn't any good. I responded by saying you didn't state in the user agreement that PAYPAL had to be able to track it online. All you said was "as long as it can be tracked online". I don't see paypal's name in this statemnt anywhere. This can be tracked online and was tracked online using the USPS computers.
Just because paypal cannot track something online doesn't mean it cannot be tracked online.
I have filed on them w / the BBB of the Silicion Valley. It is in a rebutal state right now.
I suggest anyone using paypal. Stop. They are crooks. You will get taken sooner or later, and for how much??? Who know's. This was my biggest sale on paypal, and now my worst, and final. I am out $2195 so far. Paypal is there to protect them selves that is all. They will sign anyone up as long as they can make a dollar off them.
Anyone who sends you money w / a credit card can reverse it at anytime and you are out the money and product. Paypal says you are insured for $5000 year per account. You must follow about 100 rules first, which no one does or 99.9% don't.
Do you send every item to a US address, is every addrees confirmed, is every account you receive $ from verified, do you send it w / a signature confirmation w / return receipt? These are just a few. If you answered no to any of these BEWARE PAYPAL KNOWS AND THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ONE OF THESE TIMES. THEY ARE SITTING THERE WAITING FOR THAT BIG TRANSACTION.
