My lease agreement expired on 9-8-02. My business ceased operations in the summer of 2000. I told Axin back in 2000 that I went out of business.
They told me that I still needed to pay my $62.95 per month until the end of my lease. I told them I don't need their services anymore and want to break the lease. They said the only way that could happen is if I declare bankruptcy.
I noticed yesterday that I am still being charged $62.95 per month. I called them on this. They told me that I was to write them 60 days before my expiration date and tell them I wanted to cancel my lease. I was never made aware of this.
Then the guy said I was to write them a letter 90 days before expiration. So he changed his story mid-stream.
Axin ripped me off by not notifying me that my lease was due and warning me that if I don't do anything, my lease will continue. They know I haven't had activity in my account for 2 years. I have other things going on in my life besides reading the fine print on a lease I don't have.
I am sure they know people don't read the fine print or will even remember 4 years down the road to cancel their lease if they go out of business. They are deceptive.
