Training for trading in stocks and options and other platforms

I attended a Better Trades workshop. It seemed reasonable. After signing up for the class, I then had to purchase various other platforms, like access to their website, and various charts. The class alone was several thousand dollars. I then committed to additional classes of theirs, online for another $2240 over a period of 6 months, hoping to find something out to better help me to understand what I needed to do to make it successfu. Then you end up buying their platform because they talk about the various things that charts have and of course you do not know where to find those specific things. So you buy the chart package for additional monies, that was another $300 a month, minimum of one year. So that was a total of $3600.

So you were actually going to pay close to $6000 for what they said you needed to trade. I stupidly choose to buy more of their hype through their website, as I was bound and determined to learn from them.

Optionsxpress gives the charts to you for zero... Yes zero, and you can find the same information on that site without the help of Bettertrades charging you for the same thing. All you need to do is have an account at OptionsXpress to get various things from them, much friendlier and fair by the way then BetterTrades could even dream about.

I am not saying they needed to hand hold and tell me the exact stocks, options, or whatever I was trading, but ranges, segments, sections, something would have helped for all that money and all those expensive charts.

I am an intelligent, educated, and qualified person to be trading on the market. I have never written on Ripoff before, and hope I never have to again. But these types of companies truly are a Ripoff. To spend one year, which is what the commitment is for some of the "extras" you buy from them, is rather a form of rape from my viewpoint.

In order to get your money back you had to do at least 10 real trades, in and out buy and sells - 20 sides. Well that is just great.in that each trade one side costs $14.95 so a full trade is $29.90 so you are into the money for $299 just to do the actual trades. Considering I did 4 and lost on every single one of them for the trade, so i dropped a good $500 just doing 4 including the cost of the trade. I decided to do hundreds of trades on Optionsxpress in the Virtual Trading area instead where the bite would not be so bad if I lost the trade from what BetterTrades was suggesting on the trades.

When I broached the subject with BetterTrades return policy person, he wanted copies of my statements, which I had to write to Optionsxpress to get them, because they give them to you online, but that was not good enough for BetterTrades. I also sent them a copy of the over 400 virtual trades I did with their way of trading, most of which were losers.

Of course that was not acceptable, and I got nothing back.

Optionsxpress now offers Coaching, yes live Coaching for a much smaller amount and you get to use all their software for free. Amazing, just think of the money I would have saved.

What a learning curve. I actually traded daily, and spent a good 30 minutes to an hour a day trying to learn the stuff.

Better Trades is somewhat of a racket, as are the other companies that charge thousands of dollars for the courses, usually only two days, and really don't give you a clear knowledge or direction to learn the business of trading. I have traded stocks before, and was interested in learning the options part of the business. But forget this company, and any of the others. Go to the websites of the actual companies that do the trading for you and I am sure you can find better knowledge, better information and certainly better pricing for good information rather than schmaltzy walk and talk, with no real basis behind it.
