This customer signed up for a $79 trial period. After several weeks, he advised his stepson that he was having trouble navigating the site. His stepson attempted to navigate the site, but ran into problems such as: not being able to access many pages of the site, and upon accessing other pages, discovering that another fee was requested to be paid, or that the arrived at site was out of www.ancestry.com's domain.
This customer phoned MyFamily.com Inc., and was connected to a man named "Quinn". This customer requested a refund of his "subscription" fee, and was told by "Quinn" that that was impossible, because this customer had subscribed to MyFamily.com Inc.
This customer also phoned MyFamily.com Inc, and left a message on "Mr. Tom Stockham's" voice mail requesting a refund.
It is this customer's opinion that MyFamily.com Inc's (dba www.ancestry.com) advertising and sales techniques are deceptive in that they do not provide a full disclosure about problems accessing the pages of the site, and hidden fees that are needed to obtain the benefits that the advertising and sales techniques for the site promise.
