The bus driver of route 335 to Lowman and Manch Elementary Schools has been accused of smacking two different children within the past two weeks. Both times a supervisor was contacted. When I called to let the supervisor know my son accused the driver of smacking him she informed me what a serious allegation I was making and started accusing my son of all sorts of behaviors I have not heard of. It was as if she was trying to turn the entire problem on the bus on my 11 yr old boy's shoulders. I was aware of one behavior problem on the bus and have been dealing with my son at home. When I called the supervisor this morning she scolded me about my son's behavior and came up with a totally new set of allegations about my son. The supervisor did say if allegations continue they will give the driver a camera bus. Why was this not done the minute the first complaint was made? I have been told all complaints are investigated by a private team of CCSD Transportation Employees and the results are not public information. Are these people above the law? Do they have more rights to put their hands on someone else's kid than I do my own?
