WARNING to anyone deciding to attend the University of Phoenix. I got screwed by their program, and hope this message gets out so no one else will be screwed by them. Getting a Bachalors degree in 2 yrs, I thought it be great. Well U of Phoenix has this program where you go 5 weeks 1 night a week. I thought perfect for a working adult. Well what they don't tell you is you have these study groups that you have to meet once a week as well.
They also have a track program, that is everyone in your first class is with you until you graduate. Yet they claim diveristy, yeah what diveristy. So if your study group don't get along, it is a miserable experience.
Back to the track program. They put me in this track program, right, well right when I'm about to graduate, guess what I found out I was just a gueniepig in their little experiment. People started droping out from my class like flies, and there weren't enought people to hold a class so they told me I either have to take on-line courses or go to a different location that is 2 hrs away. That was the final straw.
So I left but not without being 15,000 in student loan debts, oh and the worst part is only 1 of my clases actually transfered to my new school. I've taken like 15 classes and only 1 transfered!!! I wouldn't be so pissed off if the professors, no more like middle school teachers were actually knowledgeble and have any credit to them. I don't know where they find these loosers for teachers. It's kind of sad when the students actually knows more about the subject then the teacher. I mean what do we pay these fools for.
So be warned, I've run into many ex-students of the Univeristy of Phoenix and it's the same story!!! I have yet to meet someone who actually graduated from that place... And I'll tell you this, if I was a hiring manager, I will never hire some one that graduated from the University of Phoenix period... I can read a book and learn more then to listen to the teachers at the Univeristy of Phoenix... I came out of that place knowing the same stuff as I first started there.
