I can relate to all of the stories I have read so far, I especially relate to Tamara from NC. I am going through the exact same thing with my Pell Grant and financial Aid. I started UOP in April got my pell grant and student loan no problem, but I never received an award letter stating how much I would receive and when I would receive it. I was never told that I had to re-apply again. I have gone to a traditional school before and I always got two disbursements and also received an award letter stating when they would be coming, and how much.
Well I contacted my financial aid officer several times and she never would tell me how much it was for and when, just to re-apply. My question is why? And the more I questioned the less I heard from anyone. Well I am getting my butt out asap, but I am going to tell them I am leaving because of family issues.
After reading all of these complaints I am scared they are going to do me like everyone else. I am going to transfer to a real university in Jan. I will just have to deal with my schedule and work my education around work. I am already out more money then I think I should I am making copies of everything. I am currently in my 3rd block and when they end I am pulling out. I do have some advice if your planning on leaving do not I repeat do not even log into your new classes because if you do you will be charged.
Everyone please keep these messages up dated so we can all learn from them. I will be interested in a law suit too if anyone starts one.
Thanks!
