Two young girls came to my door 11/29/02. One says she is a student at The Montgomery (AL) Academy (happens to be my sons' school) and that the debate team has a chance to go to London (my son happens to be on the debate team). I am very familiar with both school and debate team and challenge her. Even after checking the current school roster after asking her name (Precious Batts) she sticks to her lies. I tell her to stop using our school's name in a fraud and sends her on her way.
I then see her going to neighbor's houses who may fall victim to their con job. I call the police who find them several streets away. They say they are just "selling magazines" and that they are from North Carolina (funny that they know just what school name to use for sympathy in this neighborhood. The policeman says he cannot do anything about them because they are allowed to solicit door to door. And all the while they are laughing (literally) and sneering at me because they know there is nothing more I can do.
I greatly resent my school and neighborhood being used in a con job. This is a warning to turn away anyone from this company.
