Complaint / review text:
I purchased a flute for my 6th grade daughter through e-bay seller SimbaProducts. The item was said to be a brand new item. The product arrived in a timely manner but my daughter had problems with playing. I attributed this to her inexperience with the flute.
Finally her teacher told me that something was wrong with her flute and it had not worked right from the beginning. I sent the flute to a repair expert who told me that it was an extremely low quality item and that it would cost me $55 to have it tuned. It was leaking and would not work.
The repair person told me that I should contact the e-bay seller and let them know, which I did. All I wanted the seller to do was to tune the flute. I was already out almost $200 just 60 days ago and did not really want to spend more money on the flute.
Currently I am renting a flute at the rate of $27 per month. The seller sent me back a one line response saying: "I'm sorry, our ebay items come with a 30 day return policy only. I wish I could be of more assistance." I feel cheated.
