I have been deceived by this outfit as well. Back in 2001 is when I got involved. Everything sounded great at the beginning. The initial steps went off without a hitch, Then it came time to make the first payment. Payment went out they received it, and nothing to the tune of $438 each. Then they inform me that the first payment went to setup fees, not to my creditor.
My original contact was Les Gogatz. Again like some of the other threads that I have read, since I signed my contact I never spoke to him again. All that ever happened was that if I had to call because a creditor did not receive their money, the operator would put me on hold. Well, each time I was put on hold, the hold time gradually increased for every phone call.
To date, I have sent them approximately $6000, of which should have brought down my outstanding credit. Or at least I thought it was going to. As I look at my credit statements today, I am now about 18000 in debt. If my memory serves me correctly, since I do not have the papers in front of me, I started out at about 19000 in debt.
If this plan was supposed to get me out of debt in 4 years, the above figrues don't sound like they add up.
All I know at this point is that I have contacted the Attorney General's office in Ft Lauderdale Fl. And talked to Shana Sokoff 954-712-4600. Now I need to fill out more paperwork to hopefully get something out of these yahoos!
