We, too, joined an enormous amount of others in buying a timeshare from these people. We anticipated getting some rental return or at least some appreciation in value as did others. We soon realized we were not to be so rewarded. Unlike most, we did not try to cancel... We bought in mid 2005 and are still paying on our contract.
We do not anticipate being able to get rental money or sell our timeshare. Our question for you out there is: Has anyone stopped making payments, without being legally encumbered by the Club Lagoon people? I understand there have been threats, but has anyone actually had collectors come to their homes, or legal action taken by Club Lagoon? I'd like to just stop paying, take my losses and forget this whole mess.
Don't buy a timeshare from these people.
