Regarding their "LA Producer & Production Company" labels, within the first two pages alone, I found many wrong addresses, some companies no longer in business, and several entities that do not hire acting talent (These labels are largely used by actors) a management company was listed, a company that hires singers and dancers only, some that do awards shows only, schools and theatre companies that only take from their student body or members, animation and special effects companies who rarely or never hire acting talent.
In addition to online research, I called some of these companies. Two of them said they had moved over 2 years ago and were no longer at the address listed on the label. One of them said they rarely hire acting talent. Another said they never hire acting talent.
And the management company said they are absolutely not a production company and do not hire actors.
Showbiz Ltd. Says on their website that they update their labels DAILY. This is simply not true. Their labels cost about $20 per package... Certainly not worth the purchase when the product is unreliable. With postage at. 26 cents a postcard, and each postcard printed costing roughly. 20 cents each, one's costs add up quickly and are wasted when sending to places that either can't hire you as an actor or never receive your postcard because the address changed long ago.
I spoke to Showbiz Ltd's customer service representative, Steve. He was exceedingly rude and antagonistic from the very start of our phone call through to the end constantly cutting me off from speaking, denying what I was saying was true and mocking my statements. To say the least, it doesn't look like they will refund my money.
Their product is faulty and misrepresentational, their customer service is beyond poor, and their website displays false advertising.
