Wanting me to send money in order to have God's Blessing

I do not believe a Catholic CHurch is actually asking for money to receive God's Blessings. The CHurch teaches us we can achieve his blessings by prayers not money. I believe this was a scam by individuals not connected with St. Mathew's.
