In Sept. 2006 I contracted with UDS for credit card debt settlement. I called them many times. My story is very much like everyone else. Lawyers and courts were deluging me. When things got overbearing, all of a sudden I was not able to contact them. They either didn't answer the phone or I got constant busy signals, endless phone loops or disconnections. At some point I did get thru and then found out that in order to cancel them I had to contact them in writing within a specified time before the next bank auto-debit. It was close to Christmas. I quickly wrote that letter, pleading to their better nature and faxed it within their time frame, including the fact of my limited income from SSD (I had become totally disabled). It really got horrendous with no reply from them. I went to the bank and closed the account that I had set up just for their auto-debit and transferred the money to a new account. I lost a total of $783.00 to them. They also have another fax # 800-499-2535, which was the first and only fax number they gave to me. I had trouble faxing my letter to them, so I called them again and got that other fax number. Regardless of my pleas, they did nothing to help nor did they refund any money.
