I first started with swift then moved to covenant, while with covenant i received a couple of tickets the first was for speeding, doing 65 in a 55 zone in california as i did not know that at the time as i was driving into cali for a delivery, i knew the limit would be 55 and was waiting to see a sign saying now entering cali but it was to late when i saw those pretty red and blue lights in my side mirror, the officer said the actual ticket with the amount and due date would be mailed to me, did i get time off to take care of it, NO, and the second ticket was in louisiana, i was envolved in a accident by rearending a car as there was no turning lane, lights or signs stating there was a turning lane saw the car too late hit the brakes and chewed-up the axx end of a 4 door honda car, the officer sighted me for following too close and just like the fuzz in california i was told the ticket would be mailed to me, but did i get the time off to take care of that ticket HELL NO and guess what those tickets probally ended up on that dreaded dac/usis report that makes me look real good to possible employers in the trucking biz, but what i would like to know is does anyone think covenant should be held liable for the tickets as i did not get time off to take care of the tickets and if so has this happened to anyone else and could they possibly have a class action suit against them, let me when anyone gets this message.
