In November7, I sent by UPS, my carrier, who I use daily in my buisiness of reading glasses, sent four parcls of coins that I just purchased, to my grandchildren in California and Nevada—One grandchild, in California, did not receive and I ran a tracking on it and found that it was never received—This was almost 6 weeks in the waiitng—When I finally received call from UPS verifying this information—I was told that they cannot pay on the claim of $131.00 plus sipping as they do not insure coins or postage oing through the UPS system—
I was not aware of this and asked to be oput through to an administartr and after about 10 minutes, this person came on and wast otally rude and and said they would pay postage onlyon the cloaim—I asked if I could get hios evaluation in writing and she said sure and hung up—Never received this information and today received a check for $4.20 for UPS shipping charge, which I have in my possession
I wonder why the company that I bought these coins from use UPS—I am sure they are insured-
By the way, the coins in total cost me $1,67.00 but I was charging for the dollar amount in coins sent—These were uncurcuated coins and I paid a premium for them and was not asking UPS to pay that to me-
I feel I was treated poorly and after all these yers without making a claim—I was horrified by the rude response
