Countrywide deserved what they got.
I was a victim myself of the unfair mortgage practices Of Countrywide.in I put my investment property for a short sale due to financial hardships; I was laid-off from my job. I have diligently worked-out with the Loan Modification Dept. Of Countrywide, and at the same time hired a real estate company to market the house. There were offers presented by 2 buyers, one was a cash offer of $350,000. The other for $340,000. They were both denied by Countrywide. They would not accept an offer that was lower than $400,000. The have informed me this house was worth at least $415,000.
Again, I did not give-up, I pursued all other options not to foreclosure on the property. I consulted with another short sale company, even writing a letter to the Pres. Of Countrywide for other options, to no avail. The house eventually defaulted, auctioned by Countrywide but did not get an offer.
Then by researching the records of the County Assessors, they sold the house to Bank of New York for $365,000. Then Bank of New York sold the property for $ 290,000.
This foreclosure have blemish my credit rating. I am so angry and mad, I was have exhausted every effort to save this house from foreclosure.
