Cheaters, lyers, to students and DOT, school gime me a license to KILL

Mr. Hanley
CDL School of Miami
4101 NW 27th Avenue 33142
Miami, FL

Sir,
In May I lost my job, and decided that perhaps becoming a truck driver like several of my friend will be the best career for me.
I called Steve Cline in August, we made an appointment and here I paid my $1250 $150, signed several papers and I was signed for the session starting 10/04/07 for 160 hours.
During the interview, Steve was a very good sales person;
We will found you a job - Werner where I got treat like I was the trainer slave
Your employer will pay your intuition over $150 a month, was paying $100 only
Your loan will be around that price $150.00 it was 234.54
I see you become a good driver, Me too
And after 3 weeks 160 hours I promise you will get your license and you will know to drive, far away from 160 hours in 3 weeks, and also far away be a good driver after 3 weeks and 3 days

I started my classes on Tuesday September 4th because Monday was a holiday. September 5 and 6 we were at school 9:00am to 5:00pm, with 1 hour break for lunch
Friday the 7 no school at all it was for exam, Saturday 8 no school.

The following week, on Monday 9/10 we stay all day at the school, 9:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we were day at the range at 7:00am until 12, the at school at 1:00 until 5:00pm. On Friday 14 we stay the all day at the range, 7: am to 5:00pm because on Friday everyone is going home at 5:00pm.

The following week 9/17-21
It was 7:00am to 5:00pm; couple days we stay until 5:45pm
This schedule is to show you that we never did our 160 hours as the contract stipule.

The first day of the half day of training range; (By the way we were there at 7:00am but never started before 8:00am) we were 16 students for 1 trainer Paul and 3 trucks. Paul showed us the Pre-trip, the coupling and uncoupling. Then said; split in group of 4/5 learn ourselves and Wednesday we will have a test, he gave each a number I was # 1 It was my first and only first time I get to seat down in a big truck, students were teaching each other, because Paul was very busy. I got very very scared, I try to beat my fear and start driving the truck, suddenly when I was changing gear from 1 to reverse, the stick came out and stayed in my hand I panic. I never got so scared and didn't know what to do!!!

The trucks were at least 15/20 years old truck. Bold tired, ripped and broken inside; doors cannot open, missing glasses, mirrors. It was not a training range for class but a Junk yard for students.

Tuesday 9/11 because all students were very upset with the way we learn the Monday and were complaining, we got another trainer Tammy. It did help too much; she was busy driving the other student from and other session.
That Tuesday morning I did my first road trip with an automatic with Mr. Edward.

Wednesday 12 we arrived at 7:00 started at 8:00 because I was the #1 Paul took me to do my Coupling test, the truck was so old that I couldn't get the pin out; he had to do for me. Then after I finish he said I am sorry but the other will get a better truck. For me I though I flunk it was so bad, Paul said: do not worry it was not that great but I passed you but learn during your training

Thursday 13 we were there at 7: at 8:00 we got to drive with Mr. Ed in the truck, again 5/6 students until 12 noon. Get the idea of hours we drove. We came back and continue the training ourselves because only 2 trainers but one of them was driving or testing the older students. We went home at 5:30 that was the time that we were leaving anyway to catch the trail rail. I was so mad that I call Steve from Lantana to tell him that I am quitting, it is too hard for me and no one is teaching us. He asked me to talk to J. C I did and J. C made an appointment with Allan to talk to.

Friday, 14 was a testing day for us and the older students so forget having someone teaching usThis whole week we were our own teacher, you can imaging what I learned during that week.
I went and talk to Allan who did want take no for answer. I asked him to change from CDL A to passenger, he said No you will go back and learn and I make sure you get a teachers. I told all 3 my fear about the trucks, but no one took that seriously
Elio the one with glasses did my test; everyone passed their test in 10 minutes it took me over 25 minutes. I know I did wrong, but I got it. Cool!
Class finish at 5:00pm

Week 9/ 17-21
Monday 17 arrive at 7: more trainers, some of the students and me went and complaint. They were 4.
I had a chance to drive again, we were only 4 people in the cab the trainer 1: pm to 4:30pm, at least today we drove our hour,

In the morning I was train on backing up and Alley Dock.
Tuesday 18, it was at least 104 degree no driving I was trying to get my back up right, all of us. I was so upset that I cry, Tammy finally came and I told her that I am quitting and will not be back, she came with me and show me how to do the back up and the Alley dock, It took hour of her time then she disappear.
I AGAIN called Steve from Lantana and told him that I do not want to continue trucks I have go with passenger.

Wednesday 19 we all arrive at 7:00am and we were waiting suddenly I asked what is going on, someone took the key home and they cannot open the office door to get the trucks keys.

Finally around 10:30 we went for our road driving, we were 5 students in the truck, we came back around 12:30. I let you do the math and to see how many hour driving we had that day.

Thursday 20 it was 103 degree Tammy decided that I will stay in the range all day train for the back up and off set, I did Jesus a new person was very kind to keep an eye on me.

Friday 21 testing day, I went and drove with 6 students from 8 to noon. How many hours of driving??? Mr. Edward show me off set with the 53 truck
Around 5:30pm after staying on the sun I was the last one to do the test, I sat down on the truck and got scar, I couldn't control my fear. I left and said I am not coming back.

I called Steve Cline and told him I do not want to drive a truck anymore, the training is sucked, we are not train properly, students are the one who are my teachers, that I feel that I spend a money for nothing, he said you came so far you cannot quit, you are good and will become a great driver.

Wednesday 26, I went back and ask to get a private lesson. Allan makes me pay $500 for 4 hours, which was absurd. I paid because I want to get better; I told Allan I just gave $5995 thinking that the school will teach me. That was not the case.
It was so nasty environment when I got there and request private lessons. Finally I got them, I learned a lot in 4 hours then 2 weeks. Sad isn't it?

When you pay that money you expect to get better training NO??? Thursday 27 went fine I went and drove with 4 students, I did ok. But Mr. Ed said that I will need at least 10 more hours to be good

Friday 27 the big day, I was ready, Tom Spence who was a student my age and slow to learn like me, were the last of the group to get the test. We train together all day, around 3:00pm we were so scare about the test we stopped and were waiting for Georges the test instructor/supervisor. He came and called me at 4:30, I did my skills Tom who was watching me told me that Georges was very surprise to see how good I was.

Then it was Tom turn, he also passed. We went and sat down for at least 30 minutes waiting for the road test. (By the way Steve talked to him in front of me and Tom admit about what happen) It started raining, Georges came to us and said Tuesday you will come back go to J. C office and get your certificate I was choked; I asked why we are NOT passing the road test. His response was (in front of Tom)
What did I just said to you? Tuesday you are coming back to see J. C and get your certificate, do you understand Yes I did, After he left I asked Tom what that means. He said no test, so he makes us passed??? I guess

I got a license to kill, with my 4 hours driving on my future 18 wheel semi. That is insane and scary!!..

Here I am, at Werner my first trainer didn't want me because I was from CDL School of Miami and she had a problem with another student who didn't know to drive from that school. I got some lesson from the Werner Range at Lank land, FL. With a trainer name Calvin.
Finally I got Amy Spraklin, as trainer. You have to know that these trainers want to make money they want someone who knows to drive and they are not nice when you make mistake.

The first day I drove 10 hours, from Lakeland/Miami/North Florida. She was estheric scare to death. I kept my truck between the lines, follow the speed limit. She didn't stop yelling from the beginning to the end. Several time during my training I had to ask her to please stop yelling after me.

Every single day I was yield, my parents never yield at me like she did, it was very, very sad, she was taking some pills for her foot, and she was very in pain. And sometime the was slurring when she speaks.
I was humiliated, called names and treat like I was a 15 years old who didn't know nothing. She was from Michigan didn't like Alien from another country, I didn't tell her that my grand mom was black so scare I was. She always was saying soon the American people will revolt against all these people who are coming in our country and eat our money.

One day she called HO because I was wearing a blue shirt and I was doing my nail at the hotel, because of her truck broke down!??! When we were at the consignee I was very polite and friendly, (all my life I did a customer service,) she yield at me telling me (I was that kind of person who are ruining trucks driver life!)
I told her Werner wants a new kind of face lift; they want people with customer service. She didn't like it.

I remember on October 17 she had an argument with another truck driver because he cut her off at the loading place, she asked me I guess you think that I am a bxxxh? I told her Yes I do

She said to me one day! That I was the worst driver that she meets. I told her no, I am a good driver I do not like to rush and I am very being careful. I never got a ticket, her response was; you cause the accident and run away. She didn;t know that when I was 21 I start driving raise cars

When we were on highways and someone was entering the ramp, she wanted me to push on the gas and do not break go and apply the horn. I found that very crazy I told her I will not do it, I will not kill anyone. She was Nutty with double personality.

I got terminated on October 30, because she said that I was not a safety driver. Never had a ticket or accident SHE HAD 2. You both ruin my career, I was so into, to become a truck driver, and believe me I know that I would make it, if I didn't have a monster as trainer.
I am now NO JOB, NO REVENUE because of a psycho. That is pitiful, the contract said we will provide you a job!

I would like my money back I do not feel that my training was worst $6495, I didn't get the hours promised 160, I didn't get my minimum driving hours, and plus I do not get the work guarantee..

If you want to call me and discuses that matter, it will be fine and I free..

Since the second week of my training because of my fear, I tried to get out and no one listen me. I wanted to be a bus driver, so scare I got after that transmission stick in my hand.

I am not a bad person, but like everyone I was looking for a change of career in my life, You ruined it.!!
So when you work for WERNER only ONE person (The trainer who is a drug abuser) makes the decision of your career life??? WOW
