The company offers a $1 service to view your credit. However, it is provided as a free 7-day trial offer. According to Cal (Customer Service Rep #26051), I would have had to cancel within 7 days, and since I did not, it was assumed that I wanted the service that they were offering. My AmEx card is being billed $29.95 for two different services, plus a $1 service fee for each of three items, each month, for a total of $62.90 per month. When I complained to the Tier 1 CSR, she immediately said she would give me a refund for the month, but I would have to speak to a supervisor for further refunds.
Cal must have been the supervisor, and he gave the typical "we're doing you a favor" by charging back only one of the transactions from the month before. I told him I wanted them all wiped, that I never wanted the service in the first place, and he flatly refused. I told him I would put this in an American Express dispute resolution and would file a report with the attorney general as well.
