I had gotten sucked in by SurplusAlert, too. I had unfortunately skipped the trial period and bought my membership for $99.00. After talking with my husband about this, we decided to cancel membership and request a refund of the $99.00. I was told it would take two weeks for their "corporate office" to execute the refund. When I had asked to speak with a supervisor, I was denied my request.
One month and a few nasty phone calls later, I still haven't gotten my $99.00 back, but they HAVE charged me an additional $1.88 two different times! Ack! Needless to say I am so ticked off I am spitting nails at this point.
I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and will be heading to the bank to file a complaint first thing in the morning not only about the $99.00 but the $3.79 that they took out of my bank without my consent!
