Complaint / Review
Razoreye Media Group Web Detective Pro 3 Day Trial Subscription
Misleading advertisement on Web Detective Pro razoreye.com/support.html

I responded to the 3 day trial subscription of web detective Pro and authorized a $7.95 purchase for that 3 day trial. For which I thought I was going to be able to do searches for 3 days. After getting the 3 day trial subscription I was limited to 3 searches per day. Which was against a 3 day trial unless it had stated that searches were limited to 3 per day, which I did not see at all on the advertisement.

Then I was automatically signed up for a recurrent billing of 9.95 per month, which I am disputing with razoreye.com and have notified my credit card company of a dispute of recurrent monthly billing without authorization

After 3 e-mails to Razoreye in the past 2 days I have not heard nor seen a confirmation of subscription cancellation.

The phone numbers

Casey Olynyk,
Managing Director
Razoreye Media at
Fax: (403) 932-1936
(Ph) (403) 932-1935 voice mail is always full

[email protected] Ph (305) 671 3165

No one answers and the help tree is circuitous to make people frustrated. It then ends with a final message that if you wnat to cancell the trial subscription you must send an e-mail that goes unanswered to

[email protected]

Another e-mail to possibly get someone (I picked this e-mail up from another persons report about this company).

[email protected]

Its obvious no matter the rebuttals on this site from the company that something at Razoreye.com is disreputable at best and that their business practices are less than well intentioned. Untimely responses, filled voice boxes and e-mails that go unresponded to are not the sign of a company that intends anything but taking consumers for a ride,

So lets review:

1 Misleading advertising which leads to
2. Recurrent subscription and monthly billing
3. Lack of services in the product (only 3 searches per day which is not noted in the advertisement)
4. Unresponsiveness when it comes to timely correspondence
5. Judging from rebuttals from Craig at razoreye.com in other threads a tendency towards hostility and a status quo as opposed to at least some humility and some effort at trying to rectify the situation for some disgruntled consumers that can cause your company a true amount of pain. This usually means saying lets resolve the issue nicely and get you your refunds as opposed to stating to us...

YOU DIDN"T READ THE 3RD PAGE OF THE LENGTHY AGREEMENT FORM WHEN YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE SERVICE. And i can say to craig you didn"t tell me i was limited to 3 searches per day in your advertisement until i already signed up... And then not until after I entered my first search and I recieved a notice of..

*you now only have 2 searches left of your daily allotment*

Wait a minute I signed up for a 3 day trial. Not a 9 search trial. 3 day trial means I should be able to use the service for 3 full days a wonderful 72 hours without limitation... But you didn't say you placed stipulations on searches in your advertisement. This leads me to believe that your product is falsely advertised and I got ripped off.

Hmm now I want my $7.95 back too come to think about it

So dearest Craig who is playing fair here. I wanted the service for 3 days I got 9 searches not 3 days. Yes your company rips people off and yes I want my freaking money back. So Craig are you gonna sit there with your thumb up your ass while people get screwed by the company you are working for, with or in collusion or are you going to come clean about the policies at razoreye.com

/rant off

I will be filing a complaint to the New York State BBB and to the New York State Attorney General's Office of Internet Affairs once I finish this rip off report.
