There is another report her about Quikdrop's tendency to acquire unqualified franchisees and the problems of franchise holders. But those who sell their goods via Quikdrop are at risk too.
I took items to a Quikdrop located in near my home. The items sold quickly and at good prices. But when I tried to collect, the Quikdrop store was out of business. Gone.
So I contacted Quikdrop's national offices. Surely they would stand behind their franchisee, right? Wrong. They dutifully took in all the information I faxed them, but I never heard from them again, although I contacted them repeatedly. (Each time they did the standard request for a faxed list of items, so this is obviously a standard procedure for them.) What about that nice eBay logo on their website? Not only does eBay not want to hear about any problems from Quikdrop customers, they even zapped any messages I posted with references to it. Obviously, eBay does not care if you're ripped off, as long as they get their cut.
The bottom line: there is absolutely no guarantee that you will be paid for the sale of your goods by a Quikdrop store. And the amount of time you will spend chasing payment could turn out to be far greater than the amount of time involved in placing the auction yourself.
