Sent me a mastercard letter or email (cant remember) offering to help improve my credit with the card. Asked me to give my bank account upon setting up for confirmation that I had an active checking account. The first day they debited my account for $32 and when I called my bank they gave me their number. The customer service agent said the charges would be taken off and gave confirmation number-of course they were not. Called again and they said this was a monthly "identity theft" (comical) charge and the confirmation was that it would not happen again. Now I don't know if this will keep happening and if I need to close my bank account which is a huge headache when your salary, bills, etc are automatically debited out. Please respond if anyone has had this happen and the repurcutions they got out of it.
