After talking to Doug Johnson the first time, I was so excited in the prospect that my husband and I could finally buy a home with the help of Nationwide Consulting Services.
My husband and I fell on hard times six years ago, lost everything, and have been living in a cramped rv all this time. We finally got to a place in our lives where we can buy a home, but we needed help with a down payment and closing cost.
Doug said the fact that my husband was a veteran would sinch us getting a grant, no questions. He said we could possibly get as much as $75,000 depending on the cost of housing in our area.
That was almost 6 months ago. I received the application 3 months ago, paid to overnight it back to the company and have anxiously watched my email and mailbox for something to come.
In the meantime, we found a house. Because of the outrageous prices on homes here, we are buying a fixer upper. We love it though. I was very distraught yesterday when I went on the internet to try to contact someone, and found this website.
I guess my husband and I will be trying to renovate the house on our own, although it will be years before we will be able to do it on our incomes. I will never trust anyone after this experience! It is one of the worst things I've gone through in my life, and at 50 I've had some bad experiences. I hope these people get caught and rot in jail!
