I recieved a letter in the mail today with no return address and a stamp from Canada. It contained a letter explaining that on June 12th the Clearing House computer ballot system picked me as one of the winners of the Fortune 500 Companies Consumers Rewards program, and they had on hold 750,000.00 dollars. There is a required fee on the winning which the winner is mandated to pay, they had enclosed a check for $3,850.00 to enable me to pay and my ballance will be sent two days from the date of my payment. The check was from JP MORGAN CHASE BANK 401 MADISON AVENUE NEW YORK, NY 10017 which is a real bank, The routing number corresponds to the Bank and I would guess the account number is good to. The Check is from TISHMAN SPEYER CROWN EQUITIES 11 WEST 42ND STREET NEW YORK, NEW YORK, which is also a good address for the building but I could not find Crown Equities. I checked the phone number given and it is from a cell service in Canada. I did not try and cash the check or call the number but am sure that this is a scam, since they are asking for money to get my so called winnings.
