Today's Escape - At Home Rewards
Unauthorised debit on credit card, unauthorised access to checking account ripoff

I saw some unauthorized debits in my account from two companies At Home Rewards and Today's Escape.

When I contacted the listed number of the companies 800-511-0046 and 800-313-4541, they said that I clicked a pop up advert when I visited Transunion website for a credit report, and this automatically enrolled me in their program. I insisted that I did not give them my account details nor authorized the debits, but they claimed that they are allowed to use the same account details I used to pay Transunion, their partner website. I took this to mean that Transunion shared my card information with them.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to get the debits reversed. At Home rewards promised to reverse the debits, but Today's escape said that under the "terms of my membership", they cannot refund the debits. I have now decided to take the matter up with my bank.
