TUPPER LAKE? A Tupper Lake School District elementary teacher is now facing a misdemeanor charge in connection with an underage drinking party.
According to Ray Brook-based State Police, Glenn Poirier, of Tupper Lake was arrested for second-degree criminal nuisance in connection with an alleged underage drinking party that was held in mid-October at a private camp on the Killdare Road.
An unidentified 16-year-old is also facing the misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal nuisance in connection with the Tupper Lake party.
Both the 47-year-old teacher and the Tupper Lake youth were issued appearance tickets following their arrest and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Tupper Lake Court Jan. 10 at 5 P.M. To face the charges.
State Police are continuing their investigation into the party.
No additional information was available Friday.
