I went to a school for truck driving 1-07, because I lost my job. The recruiter for MTC told me that if I qualify a company would hire me and pay for my tuition and nothing out of my pocket false they got me there and gave great stories and after the 3rd day they said that anyone who leaves will pay the loan and pay for their way home so they make everything look and sound good until the 3rd day cause now your locked in, and by the way when I got their we were put up in a hotel which was good until the hotel lost its hot water which was the second day so while I was there for the first 3 days I never got a chance to see the dorm rooms. I was told that the dorms were college dorms and that was false it was like prison the bunk beds were made out of 2x4,1x4 and a plyboard as the mattres frame the mattress was bad had holes and smelled. The restrooms were Horrible you could catch something if your not carefull they were in bad conditions the toilit would back up and to metion other things that would be on the seat mI cant metion. They stated I was getting $22 meals false more like $7 a day fed twice a day but not on sunday's you have to feed yourself their were no drinks so you had to by your own. There were times on 2 occassions that I and other students got no meals. If you forget to sign your name for a meal for the next day you dont eat unless you have money. I learned from other students because the instructers were short handed or under staffed and didn't care a few did though. I learned from students and this school wants me to pay $10,000 it went from $8600 to $10,000 I also filed with the bbb and hope to hear from them. The trucks they ran were in bad shape one of them were told to go back because the state of st. Louis said the truck can't pass they tried to use the truck to take our state exam driving course. Every thing about this company was false had I known I wouldn't have gone. I had a chance to work for another company but Mtc refuses to give a fax copy to the hiring company and where I could pay the so called loan, but now its very hard to get a job. So it will take longer. I took pictures of that place while I was there. I hope that someone will help me find some legal answers I dont think its right a company misleads hundreds of people and lie and treat them like cattle. The living conditions were Horrible and un call for it took me a month to get my license where they told me 14 days they lied just like so many other things.
They said that my tuition would be paid for and I wouldn't have to pay than they say I have to pay so much a week and work for a company for 14mo. No problem until I did the math with my bills and taxes and benifits and tuition taken out and food on the road there's not much. They lied about themselves false advertisement and very poor living conditions. Dont go to MTC.
