Another One Bits the Dust - Don't Fall For the Okie Doke!

WELL IF YOU ARE READING THIS PAGE, THEN YOU TO HAVE BEEN SCAMMED, and you're probably wondering how this could happen to you. Well it did, and it's your duty to tell others, because if this guy and his ring are ever caught, we will have one hella of time in court with these people making sure they get their just due!

Here's the story:
My husband called me at work (he was leaving the Washington Mutal Bank on 34th and East 15th, behind St. Elizabeth) to tell me about this Italian guy, who lost all his money gambling and needed to get rid of these fine-Italian Giorgio Armani leather jackets that he presented at a show. Because he was broke, from gambling (showing my husband a casino chip), he needed the money, as he was flying back to Italy today. My husband wanted to know if I thought it was a good deal.

The guy (Raphaele I. Originally wanted $500 bucks for several items), but my husband was like I can't give you that much, as he was in the process of filing for unemployment himself, after recently losing his job. My husband was convinced that the guy was authentic and his sob-story real. He felt sorry for the guy, and even though he thought it might be a scam, he thought it was a good deal for the jackets, which do appear to be of good quality (but they stink to high-heaven). My husband wanted to know my opinion, and I told him if he thought it was a good deal, offer him a $100 bucks.

My husband had all the red flags, but still went for the deal. He asked him about his rent-a-car, because he didn't see a rental sticker and the tires were low, as if it had been driven for a while. His shoes were ran-down, but didn't look like anything anyone from our area would be wearing, so it lend itself to his Italian facade.

The biggest flag was that, even though this guy claims to have limited English, he carried on a complete conversation, not asking my husband to repeat anything, or explain anything, which meant his comprehension was GREAT!!! All in all, he fell for it, the ole okie doke!

Well in the end, he gave him $150 bucks and got two leather jackets and one suede jacket for the deal. He called and asked me to look up the label on-line that are on the jackets, as our intention was to sell them on eBay. And you know the rest...

What I found, to my surprise, is this is a scam, and many before us have fallen for it. Don't let this be you. This has taught me a lesson, as well as my husband. Don't fall for the Okie Doke, and from now on, I will check to see if there is any information on things of this nature before I get suckered in.

THIS GUY IS GOOD!!! True Italian accent, authentic passport, and a real sob-story! He is driving silver SUV, and is about 5'4, slim build, wearing black shoes with stars on them, slacks or kaki's dress nicely, and brownish hair.

Keep an eye out for this guy, and if you see him, write down his license plate number, and if you can, call the police while you are talking to him. Tell him you're checking with your significant other, and LET'S GET THIS RAT!!!
