Single mother of two small children mislead by SMC & Tom Bosley! Looking for honest income, found disappointment and empty pockets. Shame on you SMC & Tom Bosley, shame, shame!
I am a single mother of two small children.
I was impressed and trusted the character Tom Bosley while watching him be a spokesperson for S M C.
I got an ad postcard in the mail one day, and it gave the impression that by joining their membership, that you would have access to your own website to be able to sell their products for the fee asked of $3???
It sounded good so I called the 1-800-# that was on the card and talked with another rep of SMC. I asked them if the $ they asked for included a website and was told yes, so I decided that I would join.
My kit came (paid in full with $ that would feed or clothe my family).
I read the contents and found that they wanted extra $ for the website that had been told to me by the previous rep, came with the kit fee.
I called the # included in the kit to find out what was going on, I was affirmed by the previous rep that it was included, but when I talked to the next rep, I was told that it would cost in the range of $2,000.00 to have the website.
I told them I was upset as their ad postcard was misleading and that the first rep I talked to had lied to me.
They fish tailed around the subject telling me to contact my SMC coach.
Well, I never got to talk with the coach for one reason or another, and the person I was able to talk with was very snippy and rude, pushing for me to buy some other crap from them. The coach never returned a call, so that was a waste of time, not to mention having to bear being talked to like I wasn't very bright while time marched on and the free coaching they advertised was gone.
Then they want money to talk!
I spent time downloading photos and content to try to build my own website to sell their products and then my computer at the time died, I lost many hours of time and work.
I'm totally disappointed in Tom Bosley, whom a lot of us grew up thinking we could trust his character to be truthful, I'm totally disappointed in any type of SMC promise, or rights as a SMC member.
It's all rotten balogna!
I mislead by their advertising and stolen from by means of money and my precious time.
If there is ever any legal action taken against these spoken of above, I would like to be included on the list.
If you are interested in joining SMC, my advise would be, very bad and disappointing waste of time and money, find something honest and worthwhile, SMC should be ashamed of it's corporation, and Tom Bosley should be ashamed of any money he made being their spokesperson!
