I contacted Ameritrain in order to get a thorough education in the I.T. Field so I could have a decent career rather than the dead end job I currently have. Their salesman informed me that the Ameritrain education is a hands on experience that employers look for.in reality the education consisted of the instructor standing in front of the class and reading from a text book. There was nothing hands on about it. To make matters worse the class was actually a test prep course which the salesman neglegted to tell me or I would never have signed up for the course. I spent and extra two-thousand dollars on the course to have job placement. I have applied for several positions and employers have repeatedly informed me that the class is a it boot camp and my time and money have done nothing to help me get a career in the IT field. I wrote a letter to the president of Ameritrain and have heard nothing back. Today I was informed that the company has filed bankruptcy. Now iI have a $13,000 debt and a worthless education.
