I recently signed with Flashcast and parted with $1500 in order to do so. While others complained they were deceived by claims that the company did casting or were agents, I found the folks I met with were upfront that Flashcast was not and could not guarantee that my child would work. However, the specific things that they say they will do are: (1) help you get an agent for your child (2) help you post your child on a casting website and (3) "guide" you as a newcomer to the world of baby/kids modeling. My problem with Flashcast is that they barely do those few things for you, if they do anything at all - and for $1500 I expected more.
My child did sign with an agent recommended by Flashcast. That's it. I asked many questions in subsequent emails to move the process along and was put-off, sometimes very rudely by Carl Carranza (owner) and information was not very forthcoming when I got the occasional 2 and 3 line replies. They don't take calls. Basically, for $1500 you don't get very much - you can get an agent (who, by the way, signed everybody that was seeing them when I took my child in) but other than that you get a cobbled together manual of sorts, very little attention, and a fair amount of bad attiotude from the owner if you persist in trying to get help or information for your $1500 bucks!
