In July my wife ordered a 30 day supply of Instant Cover over the telepone (1-800-490-0790) for $8.95 shipping and handling (this was never received). My Visa was charged $177.70 on July 13.
I telephoned Instant Cover (1-800-672-2340 later changed to 1-800-490-0790) on July 13th to cancell any and all orders and to refund my $177.70 and was told the error would be corrected. Well, they refunded $88.35 on July 14th then added $88.35 back on a day later.
I have telephoned/FAX's Instant cover repeatedly since then to no avail. I have been told my refund ($177.70) would be in 3 days, 10 days, oh, their server down 30 days etc, and haven't seen it yet. I have referred this to the Nevada state offices to be forwarded to the NY attorney general this date as NV has no jurisdiction over a company in NY.

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away.in this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge.in rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.
Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure theymake the consumer complaints. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.
