I found this so-called company by doing an online search for "free credit reports". As some others have already mentioned, when I discovered that they were going to charge me for a FREE credit report I clicked the "cancel" button on thier page.

This happened approximately 2 months ago, I have not had any other charges from them until today 12-29 at 10:10am, for a total of $74.85.

I checked my credit card transaction history, found the phone number where I could reach them, at this point it had shown up as IK9*PrivacyMatters; I called and explained to the woman I spoke with (Customer ID number: 210973) that I did NOT authorize that transaction, she told me that she would cancel my "membership" and the money would be posted back to my account in approximately 2 business days.

I, in a matter of hours later, checked my transaction history only to show a new pending transaction dated 12-29 2:51pm from AP9*PrivacyMatters for the same ammount of $74.85.
