During the past years of my high school career, i have been exposed to many unfair acts of teaching ability in Tupper Lake High School... And they call themselves a "good school" and gives the children help when they need it, RIGHT, i beg to differ, because i was currently exposed to the WORSt teacher ever to be taught by in the schooling system maybe that possibly could be a little extreme, but thats highly undoubtful.
It usually should show the faculty and staff of the school to get rid of the teacher after such poor grades, during the midterms, and eventually after the final regents examinations, but no they certainly don't have a problem keeping the same problem in the school system to teach other children the same poor quality of teaching. Ms. Chapin happens to know nearly nothing about math, and it shows how much our school cares about what type of education they want us to have.
Even if you are reasonably good in math, people got lower than usual averages, and test scores. Myself included, many of the students that took this course got recommended to go in afterschool to get "extra help" but that never really happened because she was too busy helping the advanced students, who already know the material and had nothing to worry about of either passing or failing the regents. But of course she just likes to help the students that know what they are doing, obviously everyone would, because it would make the job a lot easier and still get paid reasonably good.
Call after call of complaints from the parents of the students, telling the staff how unhappy and unfair the teacher is to the ones that aren't advanced, but apparently it doesn't even matter how awful the teaching staff is and doesn't help the children learn nothing, and it doesn't show much when Mr. Brooks set up 3 day review sessions before the regents more students learned more in those 3 days myself included than in that classroom being taught by Ms. Chapin.
In conclusion i believe that even other students can teacher better than ms. Chapin does, and you would probably learn even more from them, because they apparently are smarter than her, when a peer tutor can get your average from a 64 to a 82, that's pretty damn good i consider even without going in for extra help because they teach it a whole lot better than she will ever imagine of doing. I highly suggest ms. Chapin should get out of teaching because she sucks at it and is just jeopordizing our oppurtunities based on her lack of knowledge of material.
