It happened back in December. I was new to these envelope stuffing programs. Advanced Marketing stated that a person would make $5.00 for each envelope stuffed.
I was hesitant at first, cause I heard people saying the envelope stuffing scams have been going on for years. I e-mailed their customer service and asked several questions concerning if I ever had to sell anything, or if I ever had to advertise anything at all. Everytime they responded back to me with: no selling at all, never any advertising.
I also checked their terms and conditions part of their website, and it didn't say anything about advertising, so they lied to me. When I got the information, they state in the packet that I must stuff at least 50 envelopes to get any kind of refund.
The thing is, what I have to do is put my whole address along with a description of what I'm trying to sell, and I ask for $5.00 in a SASE. So, that's where the $5.00 per envelope comes in. I would have to post these stupid things up at places like grocery stores, and hope that some people would send me $5.00 through the mail.
There is no way I would ever receive 50 SASE's through the mail, so in otherwards, they won't give a refund, even though they outright lied to me. I e-mailed them back several times after this, and only got a response back a few times asking what questions I had. I also mailed them on different occasions, but never got a response back. These envelope stuffing scams need to be dealt with.
