Dont' buy a franchise from this company. CleanNet of Philadelphia. I brought a janitoral franchise from this company for $10,000 dollars on July 1 from a third party. When we went to sign the contract at CleanNet headquarters, they informed me that I would have business for 10 years with an average of $3,000 dollars per month. And if I lost any revenue because of no fault of my own, poor workmmanship, not showing up etc., they would replace my contracts within 30 days of lost.
Well, little did I know that they would never replace the lost contracts, and then the last 2 contracts I had with PNC bank was lost within 2 months. I got a call on Septmeber the 29th informing me that the company had decided to go with another cleaning franchise and CleanNet had lost the contract.
I asked to have those contracts replaced and they informed me since I had the contracts for over 180 days, from the previous franchise owner, I was not entitled to any more contracts, and if I wanted more I would have to pay a $3,000 dollar fee.
This company is deceptive in their sales practices and now I am out of $10,000 dollars and I took out a home equity loan on my home to buy this franchise. They are a scam and I now know how they do it. They bring in new business with the old franchises. They take business from the old franchises and give them to you and tell the old franchises that they have lost the contracts due to poor service or they have lost them due to contract lost after 180 days, so they do not have to replace with new contracts, they just recycle the old contracts over and over to new franchise owners.
Now I have no more money and no job to pay my mortgage or any other bills. I have had to go on welfare to help pay some of the bills, but, that is not enough since I only get $205.00 per month. Is there anyone out there that had dealings with this company or do you know what I should do now? I have e-mailed, called and callled this company to get more contracts, but my e-mails and calls go ignored.
